After Mazda in China and Suzuki in India it is Daihatsu's turn to announce that one of their cars will be sold on yet another asian market: Malaysia. One of their car and in particular a compact city car from a range generally known in Japan as "Kei-car".The Kei cars are small vehicles combining large interior space, excellent drivability and low fuel consumption but more details about this later.Probably to simply the integration of the Daihatsu VIVA (that's the name) on the local market, the Japanese manufacturer decided to collaborate with a Malaysian called "Perodua", as a result, the car will also be sold as the "Perodua VIVA" which may be more appealing .The potential clients will choose between 1 of the 3 DOHC engines (3 cylinders, 12 valves) featuring DVVT (Dynamic Variable Valve Timing) and EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) systems. The price will start at 7.500$ and will top at 11.500$.
